Sometimes you just need a little garden inspiration in a big way. Often we just hop in the car and make a trip to a local botanical garden or even make a stop on vacation to a highly acclaimed one we’ve been dying to see.

This year, even when we aren’t able to step foot into a lot of horticultural destinations, we are still able to see the impressive blooms virtually without even leaving the comfort of our favorite living room chair!

NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN (NYBG)

It may come as a surprise to some that one of the most exquisite botanical gardens in the U.S. is a huge urban respite in the Bronx. It is here where more than one million plants make up 50 specialty gardens and the 2020 Orchid Show can be seen through a guided virtual tour.

UNITED STATE BOTANIC GARDEN

Even the country’s oldest garden has caught up with the times and is showing off its iconic cherry tree blossoms. While you are there, be sure to spend some time checking out a little history and view 360-degree imagery of the various gardens or the USBG 2020 Orchid Show. (There are episodes so you can binge-watch.)

CHEEKWOOD ESTATE & GARDEN

Nashville is quickly being noted for more than just country music and bachelorette parties. The Cheekwood Estate & Garden is another one of the Music City’s gems featuring a sculpture garden through the woods, an exceptionally preserved estate, an impressive botanical center, and a cherished children’s garden seen here.

PORTLAND JAPANESE GARDEN

This peaceful, serene garden hits all the distinguishing marks of a traditional Japanese garden. Through this beautiful tour of the gardens, the curators reveal what is in bloom and the key features of the unique design.

DALLAS ARBORETUM AND BOTANICAL GARDEN

Once you spend time taking one of the many virtual tours offered by the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, you will quickly see why it is considered one of the best and has the awards and accolades to prove it. (Oh, and Martha Stewart says so too). In addition to seeing some of their many gorgeous gardens, check out this incredible horticulture center tour.

Talk about getting some inspiration from these Pinterest boards come to life! It makes us want to down another cup of joe and grab a spade! Changing out of pajamas optional.
